How do I register?

You may register either by telephone at 757-569-6146,or in person, or one of our Admitting staff members may call you to pre-register you over the phone. 

How and when can I register by phone?

You may call (757) 569-6146 or if you live in North Carolina, call out toll-free number, 1-800-253-6387. Our telephone registration is available Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

How else can I register?

You may come to the Admitting Department to register for outpatient or inpatient tests. If you need to schedule a radiology or cardiopulmonary (heart or breathing) tests, you may come to the Central Scheduling Office near Admitting or call 569-6408 Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

What information will I need when I register?

We will need to know your date of birth, social security number, and address. In addition, we’ll also need to know your physician’s name, the type of insurance you have, the type of service you need ( such as blood test, x-ray, etc.), and the date of your admission, procedure or test.

Where do I go when I arrive for my test, procedure or surgery on my appointment day?

Please go to the Admitting department to sign your registration and consent forms, and we will verify that the other information we have for you is correct.
